Advance Notice is an electronic process in which the documents about the products that will be imported are electronically submitted to the Provincial Directorates or Customs Control Points authorized by the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Livestock before the import of food and feed substances, herbal products, food supplements, packaging materials, table and kitchenware; these applications are reviewed by the officers in Provincial Directorates or Customs Points; these documents are checked regarding their compliance to the Law No. 5996 and respective regulations; applications are accepted if the documents are determined to be compliant; final inspections are performed when the product arrives to the customs by determining the inspection date; and import activity is allowed by writing a letter of conformity or rejected as a result of these inspections.
